According to BlockBeats, Meta released a new open source AI model Llama 3.1 on July 24. Zuckerberg called it "the starting point of art" and said it would compete with the big models of OpenAI and Google.
Meta and NVIDIA have joined forces, and NVIDIA AI Foundry will provide customized services for the Llama 3.1 model to companies around the world.
Llama 3.1 is said to have a wide range of new capabilities, including improved reasoning to help with complex math problems or instantly synthesizing an entire book. Zuckerberg has both defended his open source strategy and invested heavily in AI.
