According to PANews, CrowdStrike said it is understanding how the problem occurred and conducting a thorough root cause analysis to determine the cause of the logic vulnerability. The company is committed to improving the foundation or workflow to strengthen the process.

"The root cause analysis will be updated as the investigation progresses. Systems not currently impacted will continue to operate as expected and are not at risk of such an incident occurring in the future."

The company's CEO George Kurtz said on social media that the company has written a technical overview and will continue to work with customers and partners to resolve the incident.
