According to Odaily Planet Daily, the U.S. CFTC and the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team of the Department of Justice held their first anti-fraud meeting this week, focusing on solving crypto scams such as pig-killing trays. Such scams cause billions of dollars in losses to the American people every year and have become a focus of law enforcement.

Agencies participating in the meeting included the FBI, Social Security Administration, Treasury Department, DEA, Postal Inspection Service, Secret Service, U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, U.S. Attorney's Office for Massachusetts, and the SEC. CFTC Chairman Rostin Behnam stressed the urgency of combating these schemes, saying it was shocking to hear the stories of countless Americans being targeted by global criminal organizations.

The meeting focused on prevention strategies, technological disruptions of fraud and collaborative law enforcement efforts. Participants also launched an anti-fraud campaign to alert Americans to emerging fraud threats.
