Bitcoin miner Bitfarms has set October 29, 2024 as the date for its special shareholder meeting, following Riot Platforms’ request for a June 24 special shareholder meeting, ChainCatcher reported.
Bitfarms shareholders as of the record date of Sept. 26, 2024, are entitled to vote at the meeting, but no action is required at this time, the company said in a statement on Friday.
Bitfarms said a special committee of independent directors of the board of directors, with the assistance of financial and legal advisors, reviewed the request and unanimously determined the meeting and record dates.
