According to its website update, an email from the address "joyti.henchie@attwaters.co" claims to have copied all the recipient's personal data and threatens to publish damaging videos unless Bitcoin BTC is paid. This scam email contains a link to a Bitcoin wallet, which may contain malware.
The emails falsely used the name "Patrice Joyce" and claimed to be associated with legitimate firms Attwaters Solicitors LLP and Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors. However, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in the UK confirmed that they do not authorise or regulate a solicitor named Patrice Joyce.
