According to Odaily Planet Daily, Canadian digital asset custodian Balance established Balance Trust Company as a special purpose trust under Alberta's Loan and Trust Company Act this week. The trust is associated with a patent certificate issued by the Alberta Finance Board and Ministry of Finance (ATBF). Balance has pledged to provide $10 million in regulatory capital to this new wholly-owned subsidiary to become a qualified Canadian and US custodian.
