According to BlockBeats, on June 25, WikiLeaks said on social media that on the morning of June 24, local time, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange left Belmarsh Prison in London, England, where he had spent 1901 days. He was granted bail by the High Court of London and was released at Stansted Airport in the afternoon, where he boarded a plane and left the UK.

Assange reached a plea agreement with the U.S. government in which Justice Department prosecutors will seek a 62-month sentence, equal to the time Assange served in a high-security prison in London to fight extradition to the U.S. The plea agreement will deduct time already served and allow Assange to return immediately to his native Australia.
