According to WuSay, the gaming blockchain Ronin announced that it will launch an L2 network, Ronin zkEVM, based on Polygon CDK to improve the scalability and autonomy of games in the Ronin ecosystem. Ronin was originally designed as a sidechain for Axie Infinity, and currently has more than 1.4 million daily active addresses on its chain. Ronin plans to launch the first batch of zkEVM chains in the first quarter of 2025. Ronin also plans to transform the Ronin chain into L2 through Agglayer to achieve close integration with the Ethereum ecosystem.
