According to ChainCatcher, Taiko announced that it will upgrade the Taiko BCR mainnet protocol to version 1.7.0 on July 1. This version is compatible with the current Taiko-geth and client version ABI, but includes underlying protocol changes that affect block proposers and provers. The main updates include: the designated prover of the block must also be the proposer; the block prover needs to verify whether the stateRoot of the existing transition is zero, if so, the protocol will only compare the blockHash to determine whether the other transition is controversial; reduce the validity and dispute guarantees of the liveness guarantee and SGX proof by 50%; Gas optimization; upgrade the Hekla testnet protocol, which may cause some block proposals and proof transactions to fail. It is recommended that all Hekla block proposers and provers update their transaction parameters as soon as possible.
