According to Foresight News, Vitalik Buterin said that he believes that off-chain ZK applications do underestimate the potential of using only STARK, including use cases with high privacy requirements. He further pointed out that today, STARK is less than 100 kB, and for off-chain use cases, the amount of bandwidth is insignificant compared to the client proof time saved by using STARK.
