According to Odaily Planet Daily, Animoca Brands, Animoca Brands Japan, San FranTokyo and MyAnimeList announced that they will become the launch partners of Anime Foundation, a cross-Web2 and Web3 anime and comics community cultural protocol. The collaboration aims to create new opportunities and experiences for global fans, creators, studios, IP holders, and anime-inspired projects and brands.

Prior to this strategic partnership, Animoca Brands Japan invested 300 million yen (approximately $1.91 million) in MyAnimeList, a global anime community website and database with 16 million registered members.

Anime Foundation will form a strategic alliance with Mocaverse, a large-scale growth network with interoperable account, identity, reputation and PointFi system infrastructure layers provided by the Animoca brand. The strategic alliance will leverage Mocaverse’s recently announced Realm Network interoperability SDK to launch Anime ID, a DID and reputation layer to accelerate Web3 ecosystem development.
