According to Odaily Planet Daily, Bitcoin mining company Marathon Digital has held talks with Kenya to help manage the country's renewable energy through mining and develop its encryption system. Jayson Browder, vice president of government affairs at Marathon Digital, said: "We have been working closely with the Kenyan government to study how to optimize and monetize renewable energy assets." Kenyan President William Ruto recently met with Marathon Digital during an American Chamber of Commerce event in Kenya, and Marathon believes that its technology can help Kenya solve power management problems.
