According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Swiss canton of Zug announced that it plans to invest 39.35 million Swiss francs in five years to establish a blockchain research institute. This is a joint project between the University of Lucerne and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, aiming to make Zug an international center for blockchain research. Currently, the Zug Cantonal Assembly has approved the funding proposal.
