According to Odaily Planet Daily, on March 18, local time in the UK, 42-year-old British-Chinese Wen Jian was found guilty of "participating in arranging money laundering" by a British court and could be sentenced to up to 14 years in prison. Wen Jian's defense lawyer Mark Harris said that due to the judge's busy work, the British court has postponed the final verdict on Wen Jian, which was originally scheduled for May 10, to May 24.

Wen Jian served Qian Zhimin, who had defrauded more than 120,000 Chinese investors. Qian Zhimin appeared in court in London on April 24, local time. She was accused of obtaining, using or possessing cryptocurrency related to crime in London and other parts of the UK from October 1, 2017 to April 23, 2024. These cryptocurrencies originated from the huge economic fraud she carried out in China.

During the investigation of Wen and Qian, the British police seized more than 61,000 bitcoins, the largest amount of cryptocurrency ever seized in the UK, worth approximately 3.06 billion pounds.
