According to U.Today, Ripple CTO David Schwartz recently responded to a user's remarks about the loss of XRP after seven years of holding, emphasizing that XRP has grown by 1,500% in the past seven years. Schwartz said that seven years ago, XRP was trading at about $0.033, and if investors held XRP during this period, they would see a 1,500% increase, an annualized rate of return of 47%. However, the user's claim that he had been buying XRP for the past seven years was partially untrue. He later clarified that he bought XRP in January 2018 after it fell from its all-time high of $3.84. Despite challenges such as regulatory scrutiny and market volatility, XRP remains one of the top ten cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. At the time of writing, XRP has risen 3.12% to $0.5172 in the past 24 hours, exceeding the daily increase of the top ten cryptocurrencies.
