According to PANews, the cat-based Meme coin project SharkCat has reached an impasse in negotiations with the Nala Cat team. Nala's owners demanded that SharkCat provide 10% of the total supply, about $20 million, and completely hand over control of the project. SharkCat made a counter-proposal, including more than $600,000 in tokens raised through community members, as well as charitable events for the Nala brand, free marketing initiatives, and the right to mint Nala as an NFT. However, all SharkCat members who have communicated with the Nala team have been threatened with lawsuits.

Nala Cat’s owners, who are represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a prominent entertainment and sports agency that traces its ownership back to Groupe Artsamis owned by billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, threatened to sue the SharkCat team over image and publicity rights after they rejected a $600,000 partnership deal.
