Former McKinsey & Company head of digital assets Ian De Bode has joined real assets startup Ondo Finance as chief strategy officer, Blockworks reports. Ondo founder and CEO Nathan Allman was a member of Goldman Sachs’ digital assets team. Ondo recently hired Goldman Sachs’ former head of digital asset compliance as chief risk and compliance officer. The firm's vice president of partnerships, Kate Wheeler, was a former vice president at BlackRock. Ondo focuses on the tokenization of real assets, and its USDY stablecoin pays out returns based on U.S. Treasury bonds. Ondo also invested $95 million in BlackRock’s on-chain money market fund BUIDL, backing its OUSG U.S. Treasury token.
