According to PANews, the number of blob transactions on Ethereum has surged, exceeding the capacity set by the network. This growing trend stems from the introduction of blob inscriptions, a feature that has increased the need for blob exploitation.

Ethereum core developers previously implemented the Dencun upgrade on the mainnet, which introduced the "Blob" feature to reduce the cost of Layer 2 transactions. However, the recent introduction of inscription on blobs has begun to stress test this feature.

Dune Analytics dashboard analysis shows that 40% of blob transactions are now related to Inscription, which is the highest usage rate for blobs released in other Ethereum Layer 2 such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Base and Linea.
