According to CryptoPotato, Hedera Council announced a new partnership with food giant Mondelēz International, the company behind well-known brands such as Toblerone, Cadbury and Oreo. As the governance body of the Hedera public network, Hedera Council will assist Mondelēz in developing distributed ledger technology solutions for internal use. Currently, the Hedera network is jointly governed by many industry leaders such as Dell, IBM, Google, Deutsch Telekom, Ubisoft, etc. Before the announcement of the cooperation, Mondelēz began to cooperate with the fintech payment platform SKUx to build an alternative payment solution for its coupon and voucher system. SKUx has been working with Hedera for several years, which may have led to the announcement of a direct agreement between Mondelēz and Hedera Council at least in part. Bill Miller, co-chair of the membership committee of Hedera Council, said that he and his team's goal is to strengthen business ties between all parties, while also strengthening consumer trust in one of the world's largest snack producers. The two parties will jointly develop tools such as supply chain management and digital transformation initiatives. Xiang Xu, head of digital strategy and blockchain at Mondelēz International, also commented on the initiative, saying the businesses he represents are eagerly looking forward to the collaboration and hope that jointly developed solutions will address long-standing production challenges.
