According to CoinDesk, Adrien Treccani, CEO of cryptocurrency custody company Metaco, and Peter DeMeo, chief product officer, have left the company. Metaco was acquired by Ripple in May 2023. A Ripple spokesperson confirmed the news and said: "We thank Adrien and his team for building a strong and industry-leading custody business, and his leadership in integrating the custody team and solutions into Ripple after the acquisition last year. The custody business remains at the core of Ripple's continued development, and we will continue to provide the best enterprise-level encryption solutions to customers around the world." Before being acquired by Ripple, Metaco had become a popular partner for European banks seeking help with digital asset custody. Recently, Metaco reached a cooperation with HSBC, although there were reports that the bank was re-evaluating its relationship with Metaco after the acquisition.
