According to Decrypt, Grammy-nominated electronic music duo Disclosure will release 1,000 unique NFTs featuring different versions of their track 'Simply Won't Do' from their 'Alchemy' album. The NFT collection, called Disclosure Bronze Editions, will be available on Beatport's NFT marketplace. Guy Lawrence of Disclosure stated that the concept of offering 1,000 unique variations of the track represents a groundbreaking step in music production and an invitation for fans to own a piece of their musical history.
The NFTs were developed using Bronze AI technology, an AI-powered generative music engine that can take existing pieces of music and remake them using AI. Each NFT will cost $20 and give buyers exclusive ownership of the distinctive, one-of-a-kind track, never to be reproduced or available anywhere else. NFT collectors will also own a unique piece of corresponding artwork designed with German art collective Studio Grotesk. Disclosure, consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, has been exploring and releasing NFTs for years and believes in the potential of music NFTs to appeal to fans and collectors. Beatport launched its NFT marketplace earlier this year on the Polkadot parachain Aventus.
