Bitcoin, the digital currency with the largest market capitalization in the world, fluctuates in price within a week. Reported by Coinmarketcap, Wednesday (27/12), the price fell by 2.88% in the last weeks of 2023.
The price, in fact, touched US$41,676 yesterday, Tuesday (26/12). This happened because investors took profit at the end of the year, which made it difficult for prices to rise.
This action is reflected in the number of Bitcoin transactions which touched an all-time high of 633 thousand and a trading volume of US$28 billion. As a result, there was liquidation of up to US$44 million, US$38 million of which was in the short position and US$6 million in the long position.
