CleanSpark increased its Bitcoin (BTC) holdings in the last month of 2024, attributing the success to efficiency improvements and a sharp acceleration in hashrate growth. The company mined 668 BTC in December and 7,024 BTC for the year, increasing its hashrate by 287.9% YoY. Its operating hashrate reached 39.1 exahashes per second by the end of 2024. CleanSpark sold 12.65 BTC in December, equivalent to 58% of its daily production. The company will increase its mining capacity in 2024, bringing its Bitcoin holdings to 9,952 BTC, surpassing Tesla to become the fifth-largest institutional Bitcoin holder.
