ChainCatcher news states that Solana co-founder Toly tweeted that multiple L2s are meaningless. If a single L2 can handle parallel execution, then it can exhaust all blobspace and run every use case. More importantly, there are not infinite useful smart contracts; there are only 6 important main smart contracts.
In response, Ethereum community member @ryanberckmans commented that there is not only a lack of imagination for future L2s but also a lack of understanding of current L2s. Toly's post implies that 'only 6 main smart contracts are important' should become one of the proudest, most absurd, and most mundane predictions in cryptocurrency history. This will be proven time and again in the years to come. Nick Tomaino, founder of 1confirmation, retweeted and agreed with this viewpoint.
