Well-known projects in the market have all risen a lot, where will the next popular AI Agent token be?

Starting with these questions in mind, you should look for projects that have a certain level of popularity expectations but whose value has not yet been fully discovered.

The AI hackathon previously initiated by Solana may be a good pool for finding such projects. With the support and attention of the Solana Foundation and ai16zdao, the projects that emerge from it will inevitably attract market attention.

On December 11 last year, Solana announced the official launch of the first AI Hackathon with a total prize pool of more than US$185,000 to attract developers to submit projects.

As of now, in about half a month, over 400 projects have submitted their works; which of these might yield some Alpha?

Shenchao TechFlow integrates various information, sorting out and summarizing some of the projects that have been discussed more and already have tokens as follows.

1. $SOLENG (SOLENG): Reviews the code submitted by hackathon projects.

Market Cap: 18M

24-hour increase: 12%

If you treat the Solana AI hackathon as a specific theme or narrative, then the projects that are more aligned with the theme itself are more likely to be considered orthodox.

From the perspective of judges, if you receive over 400 projects, manually reviewing all of them is clearly a time-consuming and labor-intensive task; currently, there is an AI Agent called SOLENG being used to help automatically review the code submitted by hackathon projects and provide initial review comments.

Of course, relying solely on robotic reviews is definitely not comprehensive, but SOLENG acts as a 'juror', and initially filtering out some obvious mistakes is clearly a feasible method.

Currently, the project has also released its Github address, where you can see SOLENG's review results and opinions on the code submitted by each hackathon project, which is very much in line with the hackathon narrative.

In addition to generally pointing out the pros and cons of the projects, SOLENG will also check for spelling errors in the code and provide correction methods.

Github Address:

https://github.com/lostgirldev/solana-hackathon-judge

The developer behind SOLENG is named Lost Girl Dev, which coincidentally aligns with SOLENG's virtual female avatar. However, it is worth mentioning that this Dev has received attention from the ai16z official account and Shaw, and there are records of interactions with him on X.

From the chart above, it can also be seen that the market cap of SOLENG is gradually increasing within the AUM managed by ai16z.

Although the effectiveness of using SOLENG to review code still needs to be further evaluated by tech-savvy individuals, hiring an AI Agent as a juror and receiving official support and attention will inherently attract market interest.

Under the heat of the hackathon, SOLENG has gained exposure and performance opportunities; but it is clear that an Agent can do more than just serve as a juror for a competition; more general capabilities may also be on the way.

2. $TONY (BigTonyXBT): A versatile player, embedded with Hyperliquid and Allora Network as a trading agent.

Market Cap: 4.7M

CA:

0xB22a793a81ff5b6Ad37F40d5FE1E0AC4184d52F3

24-hour increase: 66%

Although the theme is the Solana hackathon, there are also projects from multiple ecosystems participating.

For example, this AI Agent called BIgTonyXBT can be embedded into the recently popular Hyperliquid to act as a trading agent; it can also be embedded into another public chain focused on AI Agents, Allora Network, to do similar things.

(Regarding Allora Network, see the previous introduction by Shenchao (Interpreting the Allora White Paper: A Self-Improving Decentralized AI Network))

Regardless of which ecosystem it is placed in, the function of BIgTonyXBT is consistent, executing functions like DCA, limit orders, automatic selling, or take-profit and stop-loss based on given strategies within the corresponding DEX or trading platform.

The reason for spanning multiple ecosystems is largely because this Agent relies on Cod3x (with 200k followers on Twitter), a well-known product ecosystem that allows users to discover, build, and automate on-chain financial strategies. Its agent interface (Agentic Interface) is a tool that can execute complex operations using only intention expression.

Currently, Cod3x is already a partner of @AlloraNetwork and also serves as the UX layer for @HyperliquidX, so it is not surprising that it can be embedded into these two systems.

Although its token TONY is currently on Base, the project itself has registered and submitted in the Solana AI hackathon, which also implies that the project has the potential to develop towards a new ecosystem.

Interestingly, BigTonyXBT also has its own launchpad called Make.fun, which also allows for the rapid deployment of various AI Agents or meme tokens.

With a relatively good background and the ability to handle various functions, BigTonyXBT is more like a versatile player.

However, the project currently has a relatively small market cap, whether it can develop comprehensively or remains mediocre is yet to be observed.

3. $PPCoin (Project Plutus): Executes trades autonomously based on real-time research and prices.

Market Cap: 13M

CA:

76PsEyML7UV9uiBDWMdG3itRRuupDuRs6nNpjNBpump

24-hour increase: 21%

Project Plutus is similarly a trading-related AI Agent, and its token PPCoin is natively deployed on Solana and launched through Pumpfun.

The project's original intention is to hope that users can maximize profits while freeing them from chart observation and complex financial operations.

This sounds a bit like what aixbt does. But Project Plutus believes that while aixbt's research is solid, it does not engage in autonomous trading, which ultimately is a missing key factor.

Thus, the solution provided by the project is an aixbt-like research agent, combined with the ability to execute autonomous trades based on real-time research/prices, using a funded wallet (with AUM for users to invest and withdraw) to achieve:

  • Automated trading strategies.

  • Optimize portfolio management.

  • Define financial goals and let the AI agent deliver results.

From the project's current tweets, it can also be found that more functions are being integrated, such as allowing the Agent to evaluate the quality of a project's Github code, adding more dimensions to the project's analysis.

In addition, regarding the token, PPCoin is not just a pure meme; you can hold over 5,000,000 $PPCOIN to unlock more advanced analysis features, similar to how staking tokens on the Cookie platform allows for more functionalities.

This also adds a certain degree of practicality and consumption methods for the token.

However, the project is still in a very early stage, and interested players can visit here for the white paper to learn more about the design.

4. $THE1 (the1aiagent): Tracks narrative propagation and monitors price performance.

Market Cap: 4.7M

CA:

BhmEQeiFd8Cu5fB6nmxm9rUsQj9Pu35X96RKv6GKtRJU

24-hour increase: 114%

@the1aiagent is essentially more like a prediction agent that can track the propagation of narratives (or tokens/KOLs) and monitor their performance.

However, currently the Agent has not officially launched, and the project has been continuously posting some prototype images and development processes on Twitter, such as being able to compare the price increases of a certain token mentioned by different KOLs and presenting it in various visual chart forms.

Some of the more notable designs include:

  1. Melody Graph: Used to track the dynamics of token contracts. This means it can help users understand price changes, trading volume, and other related metrics, providing in-depth analysis of market trends.

  2. Influencer Graph: Used to analyze the influence of key opinion leaders (KOLs). This can help users identify and evaluate individuals or groups that have an impact on tokens or projects in specific markets or social media.

These two charts combined can provide detailed insights into price fluctuations and narrative propagation, helping users better understand market dynamics and trends.

From the posting information alone, it can reflect that the project has good research capabilities and chart presentation abilities, but how effective it is still depends on the actual results.

From a competitive standpoint, similar products are already being developed by Cookie and have some popularity; this also means that products like THE1 need to offer more differentiated features or incentives like Kaito that are more likely to attract KOL self-propagation.

5. $JAIL (Jailbreakme): Helps AI find vulnerabilities and organize bounty challenges.

Market Cap: 7M

CA:

8cNmp9T2CMQRNZhNRoeSvr57LDf1kbZ42SvgsSWfpump

24-hour increase: -17%

This project belongs to an old acquaintance, and we have already introduced it in earlier articles. ((JailbreakMe 10-hour Fast Track Moonshot, Holding a 'Find AI Vulnerability Challenge' to Roll Out New Ideas))

Recently, with the rising popularity of the hackathon, the project has been mentioned by many external KOLs, and its token JAIL has had a significant surge in the last 24 hours, followed by a decline.

The concept of Jailbreakme is very simple: to create a platform to crowdsource everyone's prompts and publicly hold a 'challenge to help find AI Agent vulnerabilities.'

For example, whoever can use their own prompts and conversations to force the AI to hand over their private keys or make transfers may win this round of the challenge.

However, finding vulnerabilities isn't as simple as mindlessly stacking mining hardware for random numbers, nor is it purely betting like Polymarket; it still requires some prompt engineering skills.

Although everyone can participate, the general public may often end up as cannon fodder, which also determines that the project's audience may not be that broad, making it relatively unique and niche among various AI tracks on the chain.

6. $ASYM (ASYM): Analyzes and predicts token trends on Pumpfun, executing trades automatically based on trading strategies.

Market Cap: 13M

CA:

DNMTk67urDBxEEVRx9HjVzCVu8en4Kgg5HfZy3E6pump

24-hour increase: 27%

ASYM can monitor tokens on Pumpfun, analyze their trends, and execute corresponding trading strategies based on its prediction model.

From the information provided by the official, ASYM integrates a set of machine learning models to predict short-term token price trends; at the same time, it forks the ai16z framework to allow it to interact with people on X in the form of Bots.

However, since it is predicting token trends, prediction capabilities and performance are definitely the most concerning aspects.

However, the project's official website doesn't seem to have any updates, and the ASYM corresponding to the project on X currently appears to only be doing some analysis similar to AIXBT.

This is likely because it is still in development but not yet complete. The related posting bot @mungimungimungi releases some progress and trends in real-time, such as the accuracy of prediction models and development progress.

Before the finished product appears, it might be worth paying more attention to its price performance and the progress announced on social media.

Finally, due to limited time and energy, it is impossible to fully traverse the over 400 submissions to the Solana AI hackathon, and there are also some unissued projects that have certain potential. We will continue to track information and provide further interpretations.

It is worth noting that the AI Agent craze also has a strong timeliness; many early projects carry the risk of zeroing out after the hot trend, so please DYOR and conduct your own research and judgment. All of the above content is not investment advice.
