According to crypto analyst HODL15Capital (@HODL15Capital), global bitcoin ETFs were accumulating 1.3 million (or $122 billion) worth of BTC as of the end of last year. This represents 6.2% of BTC's maximum supply. The analyst notes that this accumulation has been ongoing for some time, with ETFs adding an average of 144,000 BTC to their holdings each month since October 2020. The growth of bitcoin ETFs is a major development for the cryptocurrency industry. It provides a way for investors to gain exposure to bitcoin without having to buy and store the cryptocurrency themselves. This is making bitcoin more accessible to a wider range of investors, which is helping to drive up its price.
