Gold futures prices rose during the European session on Wednesday.

On COMEX, a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for February delivery are trading at $2,639.30 per troy ounce, having risen by 0.00% at the time of this comment.

The session's high was marked at $2,642.40 per troy ounce. At the time of writing, gold found support at $2,608.40 and resistance at $2,642.40. The USD index futures, which shows the value of the US dollar against a basket of six major currencies, rose by 0.32% and is trading at $108.28.

As for other commodities traded on COMEX, silver futures for March delivery increased by 0.01%, reaching $29.29 per troy ounce, while copper futures for March delivery rose by 0.00%, reaching $4.02 per pound.
