PitchBook senior analyst Robert Le predicts that the crypto market will receive over $18 billion in investment this year, representing a 50% increase from 2022. In an interview with CNBC, Le noted that crypto market investments reached a peak of $33 billion in 2021 but slowed down in the second half of the year following the launch of the first Bitcoin spot ETF. He believes that a more favorable regulatory environment in 2025 will encourage traditional financial institutions to enter the space, adding credibility to crypto. Le also points out that the past two years have focused heavily on infrastructure, but this year will see more investment in the application layer to attract more users.
