Odaily Planet Daily reports that James Butterfill, the research director of cryptocurrency asset management company CoinShares, believes that Bitcoin's price could reach $150,000 or $80,000 by 2025. If the $80,000 prediction by Butterfill comes true, it would be due to the failure of the pro-cryptocurrency policies promised by Trump. James Butterfill stated, "The disappointment surrounding the cryptocurrency policies proposed by Trump and the skepticism regarding their implementation could trigger a significant market correction." Butterfill indicated that, in the long term, it is not 'unreasonable' to expect Bitcoin's market value to reach 25% of the gold market share (currently about 10%), which would equate to a price of $250,000 for Bitcoin. However, he does not believe this will happen next year. Butterfill noted, "However, timing in this regard is difficult to grasp; I do not think this will happen in 2025, but it will move in that direction." He mentioned that the chances of Bitcoin reaching $80,000 and $150,000 within a year are both 'quite high.' Next year, James Butterfill expects a favorable U.S. regulatory environment to be the main driving force supporting Bitcoin's price. In 2023, CoinShares predicted that Bitcoin's price would be $80,000 in 2024. (CNBC)
