According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on December 31, Andrew Kang, co-founder of Mechanism Capital, stated that the combination of AI and cryptocurrency technology presents revolutionary opportunities for the review of scientific papers. The crypto project @yesnoerror is developing an AI model to review 90 million scientific papers, having already reviewed over 1,700 papers, finding an error rate of about 3-4%. AI can complete the literature processing work that would take 45,000 human years within weeks, at a cost of only 1% of the traditional manual audit (approximately $5.4 billion), which is about $30 million.
Kang pointed out that the project is developing a model to evaluate paper quality, generating standardized quality scores for each paper while considering factors such as methodology, logic, and data integrity. This will help differentiate high-quality papers and may promote better research by establishing rankings for universities and research institutions. Additionally, the AI model is expected to revolutionize the peer review process and could ultimately replace manual reviews. Kang mentioned that he has been supporting the project operations behind the scenes, with his role not being the focus.
