Blockchain researcher Taylor Monahan reports that crypto scammers have developed a new method to trick their victims into downloading malware. Scammers pose as recruiters from well-known crypto firms, offering their targets salaries of $200,000 to $350,000. Victims are tricked into fixing microphone and camera access issues. Those who follow these instructions are then hit with malware that provides a “backdoor” to their device. Be careful on platforms like LinkedIn, Discord, and Telegram.
