The leading position in terms of active addresses is held by the NEAR blockchain

In 2024, the Near blockchain surged ahead, attracting 2.7 million active addresses daily. This is an impressive result that places it first among all blockchains. In second place, with a slight lag, is Solana with 2.6 million addresses, while Tron takes third place with 1.9 million active users.

Among other blockchains with high activity, BNB Chain stands out with 1 million addresses, Polygon with 855 thousand, Base with 655 thousand, Sui with 519 thousand, TON with 414 thousand, and Arbitrum with 413 thousand.

Ethereum, despite recent ups and downs, continues to lead in attracting funds. In 2024, it raised 552 million dollars through token sales, leaving Solana and BNB Chain behind. Among second-layer networks, Base stands out with $90 million.

In the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector, Ethereum maintains its leading position with locked assets totaling $68.9 billion. Tron and Solana occupy the second and third places with $7.6 billion and $8.4 billion respectively.

The total market capitalization of DeFi in December 2024 amounted to $123.5 billion, slightly below the peak of $134 billion reached earlier.
