The court found that the defendant, Wen, and several accomplices used fabricated identities to chat with foreign individuals, and after gaining their trust, induced them to purchase virtual currency to commit fraud. During this period, a total of 54,360 fraudulent messages were sent, and Wen illegally gained 2,400 yuan.

After comprehensively considering the facts, nature, circumstances, and social harm of Wen's crime, the court, in accordance with relevant criminal law provisions, sentenced the defendant Wen for fraud, imposing a prison term of three years and a fine of 20,000 yuan.
