Odaily Planet Daily News: Recently, the biggest speculation about the OpenSea token airdrop comes from the application for the 'OpenSea Foundation' recently submitted in the Cayman Islands. Crypto organizations typically create a foundation as an independent entity for their more mature, consumer-facing brand, and historically, these foundations have subsequently become organizations that communicate and facilitate token airdrops. While registering a foundation does not guarantee that tokens will follow, other organizations that have recently provided airdrop tokens to users have done so through their respective foundations. A spokesperson for OpenSea confirmed that this foundation is indeed a registered entity but did not provide further comments on any association with OpenSea. Previously, an X account using the name OpenSea Foundation posted 'ocean enters chat', which may imply that the OCEAN token is about to be launched; this association became clearer as the account was created in May 2024 and focused on only one account on the platform - OpenSea, with OpenSea and its CEO Devin Finzer interacting with the post through their respective accounts. Although details are still scarce, a spokesperson for the OpenSea Foundation responded, 'More information will be announced soon.' (Decrypt)
