According to TechFlow, on December 27, Solana co-founder Stephen Akridge was suspected of concealing millions of dollars in staking rewards during his "fierce" divorce with his ex-wife Elisa Rossi. Rossi filed a lawsuit in California state court seeking the withheld staking rewards. The couple's marriage lasted nearly a decade, during which they accumulated a lot of wealth, mainly from Akridge's founding role in Solana Labs.
According to the lawsuit, Rossi claims that the divorce process was "long and contentious." As part of the divorce settlement, she was entitled to a portion of her SOL token earnings, but Akridge did not give her the staking rewards, causing her to lose "millions of dollars." After learning that Akridge had concealed these staking rewards, Rossi contacted him several times to request their return, but was met with an indifferent response.
