The new LaunchPool project is [BIO Protocol]. What this project does may be very unfamiliar to most people, because I know that friends who can see this article of mine may pay more attention to the secondary market.

The concept brought about by BIO, DeSCI has actually been popular on the chain for quite some time. Therefore, this article will use relatively concise language to tell you what BIO and its concept are.

1. Let’s first talk about the concept of DeSci, which stands for Decentralized Science. The combination of science and Web3 is so abstract to us cryptocurrency traders, so how do they actually combine?

2. Simply put, the concept of DeSci solves the challenges in traditional scientific research, such as difficulty in financing, insufficient data sharing, and low research transparency. This concept has become popular recently, but I actually heard of it as early as last year.

3. Currently, DeSci’s main projects are all focused on solving the financing problems of a certain scientific research project. To be more straightforward, they are related to public welfare. Through token issuance, donations, etc., financial support is provided to scientific research projects, and what is fed back to us are some results after the smooth progress of the project.

4. After introducing the concept, let’s talk about the BIO project: The strategic direction of BIO is to enable global patients, scientists and biotechnology professionals to jointly fund and establish biotechnology projects and corresponding intellectual property (IP) and tokenize them, and build a faster supply market by embedding the token economy, thereby accelerating the development of biotechnology.

5. How is it achieved? We can regard BIO as a startup version with DeSci attributes, that is, Pump.fun, and also with community functions. In a nutshell, it is a [Pump.fun and community] tool with a DeSci shell.

Specifically, BIO helps some scientific research projects, builds communities and issues tokens for incubation. This is what BIO is doing at this stage. In fact, there are tools on the market to help build communities/DAOs, but BIO provides some professional support around DeSCI, giving this DAO issuance protocol special attributes.

Key Features:

  1. Funding and Resources: DAO initiators receive funding support through Bio Protocol. BIO provides the infrastructure and framework for launching biotech DAOs.

  2. Mentoring: Provide guidance from experts in various fields, including scientific due diligence, governance, token economics, legal, Web3/DeFi, and community building.

  3. Ecosystem Network: Participants have access to a growing network of contributors, mentors, scientists, and builders in the DeSci ecosystem.

  4. Shared Governance: Successful DAOs will gain shared governance rights within the master protocol bio.xyz, thereby facilitating collaboration across the ecosystem.

  5. Technical support: No Web3 expertise is required, only a willingness to research. The program provides a set of technical frameworks and resources to facilitate the launch and maintenance of biotech DAOs. Bio Protocol also provides deep Web3 and DeFi integration, so no Web3 knowledge is required to participate in the system.

6. Currently, BIO already has some ecosystems running, as shown below:

There are some targets with a market value of over 100 million, such as VitaDAO. However, it should be noted that there are also projects that were issued earlier than BIO. Vita is one of them, because BIO was launched by the founder of the Vita DAO project, which can be said to be a professional match.

As a project launched in 22 years, it also caught up with this wave of market and quickly completed the fundraising and token issuance of the new project.

7. From the perspective of the track, DeSci is not a mainstream track, and I don’t think it will be a mainstream track in the future. However, from the narrative perspective, DeSci has a lot of room for imagination, provided that DeSci really becomes part of the mainstream of the traditional scientific field. It will be the next AI.

It is difficult to predict whether such a situation will happen, but in the current era of Web3, DeSci is booming and it is a bubble moment.

As for whether it is worth participating in the launch version, I think it is still appropriate, but this is not within the scope of the secondary market. I will give you a data chart of the launch version track, and you can refer to the current yield of each platform (average market value) as appropriate.
