PANews, December 26 - Mocaverse stated on platform X that this morning, Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, had his official X account @ysiu compromised despite having two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled. Unauthorized individuals used the account to post false information and links regarding a counterfeit SOLANA token. It has been confirmed that platform X has regained control of the @ysiu account, and they are currently verifying the true ownership of the account. Evidence suggests this may be an identity theft incident, as the account had implemented standard security measures such as two-factor authentication. Stronger security solutions are being considered and implemented. The official accounts of Animoca Brands, Moca Network, or the MOCA Foundation have not been compromised, and strict security measures have been taken. As a precaution, all key members and official accounts have updated all authentication methods. No other vulnerabilities or unauthorized activity have been detected.
