According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on December 25th, Axios reported that multiple sources confirmed that Founders Fund, the top venture capital firm founded by Peter Thiel, is launching its third growth fund fundraising, targeting a size of approximately $3 billion. The institution's portfolio includes unicorn companies like SpaceX and Stripe, demonstrating significant investment performance.
According to disclosures, Founders Fund completed fundraising for its second growth fund of $3.4 billion and its eighth early-stage fund of $1.8 billion in 2022. Due to market conditions, the institution strategically adjusted the structure of its early-stage fund at the beginning of 2023, splitting it into two funds, with the newly established 'Fund IX' yet to begin deployment.
