Donald Trump announced the creation of the Presidential Council of Advisors on Digital Currencies (the “Crypto Council”), which will focus on the development of the cryptocurrency industry and technology in the United States. Bo Hines, a Yale graduate and former American football player, has been appointed executive director. Hines will be responsible for stimulating innovation in the field of digital assets and supporting industry leaders.

“Cryptocurrency Czar” David Sachs will lead the “Crypto Council.” Sriram Krishnan, general partner at venture fund Andreessen Horowitz, will also join the team and focus on artificial intelligence.

Michael Saylor, head of MicroStrategy, has already announced his readiness to advise the Trump administration on cryptocurrency policy.
