Uniswap (UNI) Labs, the organization behind the decentralized exchange Uniswap, has joined forces with Web3 security firm Blockade to bolster user protection. This collaboration introduces Blockade's on-chain detection and response technology as an additional layer of security. Upon interacting with potentially malicious tokens, users will receive warning messages. Ido Ben-Natan, CEO of Blockade, emphasizes the significance of this measure, given the alarming statistic that approximately 60% of tokens created in 2022 were malicious. "For the DeFi industry to thrive, it's crucial to tackle this issue head-on," he said. This partnership contributes to Uniswap's ongoing efforts to provide users with a secure and trustworthy trading environment. By integrating Blockade's technology, Uniswap users can make more informed decisions and safeguard their funds against potential threats.
