According to ChainCatcher, according to the (2024 New Trading Support Virtual Asset Status Analysis Report) recently released by AppiLab, a total of 266 cryptocurrencies have been launched on Korean local exchanges so far this year. Among them, overseas cryptocurrencies account for 88%, or 233, and local cryptocurrencies account for only 33, or 12%.
Specifically, Bithumb and Coinone are the exchanges with the largest number of overseas cryptocurrencies listed, with 79 listed respectively. Gopax has 35 listed, less than half of Bithumb and Coinone.
On the other hand, Gopax is the exchange with the largest number of local cryptocurrencies listed, at 24. Bithumb has listed 4, Korbit has listed 3, Coinone has listed 2, while Upbit has not listed any local cryptocurrencies so far this year.
