Spacecoin XYZ has successfully launched its first satellite into orbit, marking the project's first step towards deploying a satellite network, which will protect the blockchain network in outer space. Spacecoin XYZ co-founder Daniel Bar stated in an interview that the first officially standardized satellite is an important milestone in bringing the 'Spacecoin layer' into Earth's orbit. The satellite was part of SpaceX Falcon Heavy and was launched on December 21 at 3:34 AM local time in California. Bar mentioned that the Spacecoin satellite will be the first of many satellites to be launched in the coming months. Spacecoin plans to launch a constellation consisting of 7 to 10 additional satellites in 2025, which will be sufficient for the Spacecoin mainnet to go live. (Cointelegraph)
