#Sui

Someone just commented that since you dislike the Morpho coin and the Move coin, why not also dislike the Sui coin?

This all goes back to Zuckerberg's stablecoin project from early (2019) at Facebook – Libra. Libra was initiated by Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, one of the three major social platforms in the U.S., as their Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp segments had reached a bottleneck, making it difficult to break through, similar to Tencent/Baidu in China. Even if they continue to make money, they cannot go overseas; if they attempt to expand, they will face fierce competition, lawsuits, and suppression from foreign giants! Therefore, in 2019, this fool Zuckerberg, in a moment of caution, initiated the stablecoin project – Libra, a stablecoin designed for a universal model in social circles, similar to USDT/Dai. Due to Facebook's reputation worldwide, this stablecoin project quickly attracted the attention of global Wall Street giants and major institutions in the crypto space, including Binance Labs, Multicoin Capital, A16z, Coinbase, Paradigm Capital, and the XRP Foundation.

Because Facebook is a globally renowned entity and a giant in social media, this stablecoin quickly gained the favor of all entities and capital after its proposal, with an unprecedented scale of investment from institutions. It is equivalent to the investment scale of ICP + Algo + Matic combined. However, just as this project was about to be implemented, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in conjunction with the National Security Council, said 'No!' Libra was randomly dissolved, and the funds from the investment institutions were returned.

Interestingly, the original team from Libra developed APT/Sui, two public chains based on the Move kernel, after the bear market in 2021. Unlike Ethereum's EVM virtual machine kernel, Move offers a faster burst threshold and quicker rates!

Assets built on Move are non-replicable and non-destructible! They can also prevent double spending and multiple attacks on the chain! This includes the replay attacks that we often encounter on the Ethereum chain! Those who frequently stake, lend, and interact on-chain must have a deep understanding of the fears caused by replay attacks on the Ethereum chain, trembling in fear that their assets might go wrong, especially during cross-chain interactions, where replay attacks are particularly terrifying. I personally have also encountered this multiple times when interacting with newcomers on Ethereum Layer 2, sometimes having to pay extra gas fees to accelerate the transaction twice just to end the anxiety!

APT and Sui are like the complementing parts of the 'Nine Yin Manual'! Personally, my early experience was that APT resembles the current EOS, with great compatibility. Sui, on the other hand, is more targeted, being more flexible and willing to listen to community feedback for improvement. Overall, the differences between the two are not significant, as the teams of Sui and APT are essentially products of the split from the Libra stablecoin.

You can think of the two of them as two legs of the same pair of pants. Referencing China Mobile Communications and China Unicom: don't be misled by their rivalry; at the chairman level, they might actually be one family.

APT was listed on major exchanges early in the bear market of 2022, while Sui seemed more user-friendly when it launched. The reason I initially favored Sui was that I found their teams to be different; only two members from the Libra team actually joined the APT team, while most of the others went to the Sui team.

Therefore, I had more confidence in Sui at that time!

Please do not show favoritism; after all, the market on South Korea's Upbit for APT was between $3 to $22, and the return rate was quite good.

Today's post is just a response to a comment from a fellow coin friend in the previous post; there's no hindsight trading, no leading, and no FOMO towards this coin.

Although I prefer Sui over APT, I have never stepped on APT. Capital operations are beyond our understanding. If you believe in something, just act on it and enjoy the benefits without unnecessary comparisons! You cannot predict that APT will definitely be outperformed by Sui! In fact, last year, I advised brothers to shift 75%-50% of their positions to Sui based on a dream I had, dreaming that in the bull market, these sibling coins merged, leading to super good news for the new coin – Libra at an astronomical price! Hahaha...
