Luxembourg passed its fourth blockchain law yesterday, aimed at simplifying DLT applications in the securities sector. The new law introduces the role of control agents for digital securities issuance and expands the coverage of DLT laws to include funds. Compared to Germany, Luxembourg's legislation has advantages in this regard, also extending DLT applications from non-listed debt securities to include non-listed stocks, including funds.
