Deep Tide TechFlow News, on December 19, according to CoinDesk, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) has filed a lawsuit against Craig Wright for contempt of court, seeking a maximum sentence of two years in prison. COPA proposed in court documents an initial sentence of 18 months for Wright, with an additional 6 months if he fails to cease the contemptuous actions in a timely manner.

In March of this year, High Court Judge James Mellor officially ruled that Wright is not the Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto and issued an injunction preventing him from filing lawsuits regarding this matter in the UK and other jurisdictions. Mellor warned at the time: 'Once the dust settles, Wright is likely to ramp up his public promotions again.' However, in October of this year, Wright still filed a lawsuit related to Bitcoin system intellectual property, claiming damages of up to £900 million (approximately $1.1 billion).
