Binance periodically reviews every digital asset we add to ensure it continues to meet our high standards and industry requirements. When a coin or token no longer meets these standards or the industry landscape changes, we conduct a deeper review and may delist it. Our priority is to provide the best service and protection for our users while continuing to adapt to market dynamics.
When conducting these analyses, we consider a variety of factors, some of which influence our decision to remove a digital asset:
Team commitment to the project
Level and quality of development
Trading volume and liquidity
Network resilience and security from attacks
Network/smart contract stability
Level of communication with the community
Responding to our periodic inquiries about the appropriate level of labor
Evidence of unethical/fraudulent behavior or negligence
New regulatory requirements
Contributing to a healthy and sustainable crypto ecosystem
Based on our recent analysis, we have decided to cease trading in all trading pairs with these tokens on 12/25/2024 at 05:00 (Kyiv time):
Kaon (AKRO), formerly known as Akropolis
Please note:
The following trading pairs will be removed: AKRO/USDT, BLZ/BTC, BLZ/USDT, WRX/USDT.
All trading orders will be automatically canceled after trading in each relevant trading pair has ceased.
The token value will no longer be displayed in your wallet after deletion. To view your holdings after trading has stopped, make sure you have not selected the "Hide Small Balances" feature in your wallets.
After 12/26/2024, 05:00 (Kyiv time), deposits of these tokens will not be credited to your account.
Withdrawals of these tokens from Binance will not be supported after 02/25/2025, 05:00 (Kyiv time).
Deleted tokens MAY be converted to stablecoins on behalf of users after 02/26/2025, 05:00 (Kyiv time). Please note that the conversion of deleted tokens to stablecoins is NOT guaranteed. A separate notification will be sent before the conversion, and the stablecoins will be credited to users' Binance accounts after the conversion.
Binance Futures will close all positions and automatically settle the USDⓈ-M BLZUSDT perpetual contracts on 12/23/2024 at 11:00 AM (Kyiv time). The contracts will be deleted after the settlement is complete. Users are advised to close all open positions before the deletion time to avoid automatic settlement. Users are not allowed to open new positions for the above-mentioned contracts starting from 12/23/2024 at 10:30 AM (Kyiv time). In order to protect users and prevent potential risks in extremely volatile market conditions, Binance Futures may take additional protective measures for USDⓈ-M BLZUSDT perpetual contracts without further notice, including, but not limited to, adjusting the maximum leverage, position value, and maintenance margin at each of the margin levels, updating the funding rates such as the interest rate, premium, and capped funding rate, changing the price index component, and using the last price protection mechanism to update the mark-up price.
On 12/23/2024 at 11:00 (Kyiv time), the Binance Funding Betting Arbitrage Bot will close all arbitrage strategies and perform automatic settlement on the BLZUSDT symbol. After the removal, the pair will be unavailable for opening new arbitrage strategies.
Binance Simple Earn will remove the above-mentioned tokens on 12/24/2024 at 05:00 (Kyiv time). Users can redeem their perpetual product positions in advance, otherwise these positions will be automatically redeemed at the above time and subsequently transferred to users' spot wallets along with all accumulated rewards.
On 12/23/2024 at 04:00 (Kyiv time) for WRX on Binance Loans (flexible rates) and for AKRO, BLZ, WRX in VIP loans, all outstanding positions for the above-mentioned tokens for both the lent tokens and the collateral tokens will be closed. Users are strongly advised to repay their outstanding loans by 12/23/2024, 04:00 (Kyiv time) to avoid potential losses, provided that such loans are available.
Binance Margin will remove AKRO, BLZ, WRX from cross margin and isolated margin on December 23, 2024 at 12:00 (Kyiv time). Trading pairs AKRO/USDT, BLZ/BTC, BLZ/USDT, WRX/USDT will be removed from cross margin and isolated margin. Starting from this moment, users will no longer be able to transfer amounts with the above tokens manually and in automatic transfer mode to their margin accounts. If users have outstanding liabilities for the specified tokens, they can only manually transfer the amount of liabilities for this token to their margin accounts, minus the already available collateral.
On 12/18/2024 at 17:00 (Kyiv time), Binance Margin will suspend isolated margin borrowing on the above-mentioned isolated margin pairs. On 12/23/2024 at 12:00 (Kyiv time), Binance Margin will close users' positions, perform automatic settlement, and cancel all unfilled orders for the above-mentioned isolated margin pairs, which will then be removed from isolated margin.
On 18.12.2024 at 17:00 (Kyiv time), borrowing of the above tokens will be suspended on the Binance Margin cross-margin. If as of 23.12.2024, 12:00 (Kyiv time), users have both collateral and obligations for the above tokens, the collateral will be used to repay the relevant obligations. If the user has collateral balances or obligations for the above tokens, one of the following procedures will be implemented.
If the user holds the above tokens only in the form of collateral:
If the collateral margin level (CML) exceeds 2, the above tokens will be transferred to the user's spot wallet in such a way that the CML value is equal to 2. The remaining tokens to be deleted in the user's cross-margin accounts will be sold in full.
If the CML value is below 2, the remaining tokens to be deleted in the user's cross-margin accounts will be sold in full.
If the user holds the above tokens only in the form of liabilities:
If the CML value is 2 or higher, the pending orders will remain unchanged.
If the CML value is below 2, all unfilled orders on the user's cross margin accounts will be canceled.
The system will then sell the user's other collateral tokens in order to purchase the tokens to be removed and fully repay the corresponding obligations in those tokens.
Please note that users will not be able to update their positions during the deletion process and are strongly encouraged to close their positions and/or transfer their assets from margin wallets to spot wallets before margin trading ends on 12/23/2024 at 12:00 (Kyiv time). Binance is not responsible for any potential losses.
Margin Portfolio users are advised to transfer the above tokens from their margin wallet to their spot wallet and top up their margin balance as needed by 12/23/2024, 12:00 (Kyiv time). Users should closely monitor the Unified Maintenance Margin Ratio (uniMMR) to avoid potential liquidation that may occur as a result of the removal of the above tokens from the margin wallet.
All AKRO, BLZ, WRX balances in cross-margin wallets in the margin portfolio account will be automatically converted to USDT starting from 12/23/2024, 12:00 (Kyiv time). The conversion may take approximately 24 hours or more. Binance Margin is not responsible for any losses on new positions that may arise from the conversion of funds during this period. Binance Convert will only support the sell function for the above-mentioned tokens and all related pairs from 12/23/2024, 05:00 (Kyiv time) to 12/25/2024, 04:00 (Kyiv time). After that, Binance Convert will remove the above-mentioned tokens and all related pairs on 12/25/2024 at 04:00 (Kyiv time).
The function of converting small balances in the above tokens will be discontinued on 12/22/2024 at 04:00 (Kyiv time). Users can convert small balances in advance.
Binance Auto Invest will delete the above-mentioned tokens after 12/20/2024, 05:00 (Kyiv time). Users can delete plans in advance. Otherwise, the next recurring cycle of the above-mentioned tokens will not occur.
The above tokens and all related pairs will be removed from the cryptocurrency buying and selling function on Binance on December 19, 2024 at 05:00 (Kyiv time).
Binance Gift Card will remove the above-mentioned tokens on December 25, 2024 at 05:00 (Kyiv time). Users are advised to take care of gift cards containing these tokens in advance to avoid inconvenience.
Binance Pay will remove the above-mentioned tokens on 12/23/2024 at 05:00 (Kyiv time).
Binance will discontinue trading bot services for the above-mentioned spot trading pairs on December 25, 2024 at 05:00 (Kyiv time), if available. Users are strongly advised to upgrade and/or cancel their trading bots before the respective services are discontinued to avoid potential losses.
Binance will remove the above-mentioned spot trading pairs from Spot Copy Trading on 12/24/2024 at 05:00 (Kyiv time). After the specified time, spot trading pairs with open positions will be transferred to the spot wallet. Users are advised to update or cancel their spot copy trading portfolios by 12/24/2024, 05:00 (Kyiv time) to avoid potential losses.
