Trading Opportunities: Wait or Seek?

1. Waiting is passive, seeking is active. Waiting for trading opportunities allows them to present themselves, and we merely wait passively; seeking trading chances means actively looking in the market.

2. To wait is like laying a net and waiting, to seek is like casting a net to catch. Therefore, waiting relies on "objective" market conditions to determine what net to use for what fish; seeking relies on "subjective" market observations to decide what fish to catch with what net.

3. Waiting results in few trades, seeking results in many. Waiting for trading opportunities is quiet when none are present, so the number of trades is low; seeking involves frequently casting nets, leading to more trades.

4. Waiting is more precise, seeking is somewhat blind. Waiting means "no hare, no eagle"; seeking means "strike at any movement in the grass". The precision differs, but waiting risks missing opportunities.

Both have their similarities and differences, and traders must choose their method when there is a "net".
