(Crypto Rumble) Game Narrative
(Crypto Rumble) is a strategy-based Web3 game that integrates both three-match and SLG popular gameplay. The game logic and rules are not complex, but players need to think deeply about troop deployment and strategy while mastering certain three-match skills to maximize block elimination with each move.
Before each game starts, players need to choose three heroes from their hero pool as members of their team, and can also select different equipment from their inventory to provide certain attribute enhancements for the heroes. The ultimate goal of each game is to defeat the BOSS with different attributes.
At the start of the game, players need to move blocks to eliminate blocks of the same color. When blocks are successfully eliminated, the heroes will take turns attacking the BOSS. The more blocks eliminated, the higher the damage bonus to the BOSS. In the game, player-BOSS battles are turn-based. If the player's team defeats the BOSS, the game is won; otherwise, it is lost.
Some game levels will limit the number of three-match moves for players. If the moves are exhausted before the player defeats the BOSS, it is also considered a challenge failure.
Hero attributes and equipment
In (Crypto Rumble), a total of 9 heroes are set, belonging to three attributes: mage, assassin, and warrior. Each hero has certain data metrics such as attack power, defense power, agility, and stamina. The stamina metric represents the hero's energy during combat, and each attack consumes energy. Energy will not recover linearly over time, and players need to consume $Diam tokens (in-game tokens) to restore the hero's stamina to ensure they can be used normally in the game.
Heroes have levels (1-100), and players need to consume experience points (gained by participating in games and completing tasks) and $Gold assets (in-game assets that can be exchanged for governance token $CR and other tokens) to upgrade heroes, continuously enhancing their attributes. Additionally, each hero has three qualities: normal, elite, and legendary. Players can choose the same hero to fuse and consume a certain amount of $Diam assets to enhance quality, and the improvement in quality will lead to a qualitative leap in the attributes of heroes.
As the heroes upgrade and their qualities improve, players will be able to challenge more difficult levels and obtain a better gaming experience and rewards in various game modes.
Players wishing to acquire heroes typically need to purchase mysterious hero boxes using $Diam assets to unlock them. Opening these blind boxes will randomly yield heroes of three types of attributes, with qualities also being random. Of course, players can also enhance a hero's combat effectiveness by equipping them.
(Crypto Rumble) has set up three types of equipment: hats, weapons, and shoes. Similar to heroes, each piece of equipment also has three qualities: normal, elite, and legendary. Equipping heroes before the game will enhance certain attributes of the heroes to varying degrees. Equipment also needs to be unlocked by players in the mysterious equipment boxes.
The SLG game attribute of (Crypto Rumble) lies in the setting of the interdependent attributes of hero characters.
Strategic troop deployment with interdependent attributes
Similar to heroes, BOSS characters also possess three different attributes: mage, assassin, and warrior. Different character attributes have interdependent characteristics. Warriors beat assassins, mages beat warriors, and assassins beat mages.
So when a hero's attributes counter those of the BOSS, an advantageous match is triggered, and the hero will receive a 50% damage bonus, showcasing their natural advantages. Conversely, when a hero faces a BOSS with countering attributes, a disadvantageous match is triggered, and the BOSS will receive a 50% damage reduction, reflecting the difficulty of battling a stronger opponent.
Therefore, from the player's perspective, when facing different BOSS characters, they need to set up different formations and make further equipment choices for heroes that can trigger advantageous matchups against the BOSS.
Game Modes
(Crypto Rumble) has set up three game modes, including PvE, World Boss, and PvP.
PvE
In PvE mode, there are two types: Challenge mode and Hero mode. Players need to consume 100 stamina each time they participate.
Among them, Challenge Mode is similar to level clearing, currently consisting of a total of 30 levels. The higher the level, the higher the BOSS's attack power and health, making the challenge more difficult, but the rewards are also higher. Players need to continuously upgrade their heroes in level and quality to defeat higher-level BOSSs.
The hero mode doubles the attributes of previously defeated PvE BOSS characters. Players will also receive corresponding increased rewards for defeating these BOSS characters.
World Boss Mode
World Boss Mode is similar to ranking matches. Players participating in this mode need to pay 1000 $GOLD tokens to obtain an entry ticket. When participating in the game, players can choose up to 3 heroes to face the World BOSS. Each battle will last 3 minutes, and the system will rank players based on the damage dealt to the World BOSS at the end of the battle.
World Boss Mode opens according to seasons (each season lasts seven days), with the reward pool for each season being 90% of the total user registration fees. When rewarding, the system will use a mining ranking system, meaning all users participating in the World Boss battle can mine based on their rankings and receive rewards.
PvP
PvP refers to the multiplayer online arena mode, which allows multiple players to participate and compete against each other. Each player selects 3 heroes to participate in the battle, chooses a betting amount: 100 $CR / 500 $CR / 1000 $CR (governance tokens), and selects an automatic matching system to find opponents for PvP.
In the game, players need to compete within a 3-minute limit based on the damage dealt to the BOSS. When time runs out, the player who has dealt the most damage to the BOSS wins. The winner will receive 90% of the betting amount, while the platform will take a 10% fee. Additionally, the winner will receive an extra PK reward of $CR.
The clever combination of three-match and SLG
Just from the game mode perspective, (Crypto Rumble) spans both three-match and SLG, achieving complementarity through the organic combination of the two.
From the perspective of three-match gameplay, it is a game segment that has been validated by the market for many years. This type of game has a high acceptance rate, making both younger and non-younger demographics potential players. Data shows that the user base of top three-match games reaches as high as 800 million, and the age distribution of three-match game users is particularly broad. Empowerment of Zypher Network
Web3 games have attracted considerable attention from gamers due to their P2E characteristics.
