According to TechFlow, on December 18, CoinDesk reported that the Bitcoin Lightning Network payment platform ZBD (formerly Zebedee) announced that it has been approved by the Netherlands Financial Market Authority (AFM) and will be issued a license when the MiCA regulations officially come into effect on December 30. The license will allow ZBD to carry out cryptocurrency custody and trading services throughout the EU. ZBD submitted an application in April this year and became one of the first approved companies. At present, the Netherlands and other countries are ready for the implementation of MiCA, while other EU member states are still advancing related legislation. The list of approved companies will be announced on the AFM official website after MiCA comes into effect.
