It now seems unlikely that the collective surge of altcoins will be repeated. The number of altcoins has skyrocketed from just a few dozen in the past to several thousand now, and the market environment and logic have undergone tremendous changes.

Therefore, what we are facing is only a structural market: some altcoins may achieve several times or even dozens of times growth, while others may always be merely tools used for harvesting retail investors. The past strategy of buying a bunch of coins and waiting for a general rise no longer seems effective.
